Flat batteries and cars that won’t start
A car that won't start on the driveway is one of the most common reasons people call us. More often than not it's the battery, and we can test it and fit a new one on the spot. If the battery is fine, we'll work out whether it's the starter motor, the alternator or something electrical before anything gets replaced.

Repairs on your driveway
Clutches on smaller cars are usually a same-day job. On bigger vehicles the subframe often has to come out to reach the gearbox, so we'll talk you through whether the clutch replacement can be done at home before booking it in.
We replace brake pads, discs, drums, shoes, calipers, wheel cylinders and handbrake cables, and renew corroded brake pipes in copper. Manufacturers recommend changing brake fluid every two years, and we can do that on the same visit.
Exhausts, suspension and timing belts
We fit new exhaust sections rather than welding, and replace DPFs, catalytic converters, lambda and NOx sensors and hangers. Coil springs, shock absorbers, arms, ball joints, wheel bearings and driveshafts are all driveway jobs too, as is most suspension work.
Most timing belts can be changed at home as well. They need doing at the interval your manufacturer sets, because on most engines a snapped belt lets the pistons hit the valves, and the repair can cost more than the car is worth.
